The Knights faced off against the Gulf Giants in their home at the stories Zayed Cricket Stadium. ADKR looked to bag their third win of the season and climb up the points table by clinching a victory. The fans were elated & looking forward to supporting the ADKR Knights in their home. Similarly, Team ADKR were ready & raring to display a stunning performance for their fans.

ADKR chose to bowl first as they looked to restrict the opposition on a below par score and chase the total down in a dominant fashion. The bowlers started extremely well as they maintained tight lines & lengths, while they bowled accurately to their plans. David Willey bagged the first scalp in the first over itself. The Knights kept on picking wickets at regular intervals and kept the pressure on the opposition batters by not allowing them to form any substantial partnerships. Imad Wasim & Andre Russell continued their good form with the ball as both of them picked 2 wickets apiece and kept the opposition’s score in check.  ADKR restricted GG at a below par total of 161 and looked to have a memorable run-chase.

ADKR started the run-chase in a rollicking style as Pepper and Clarke went all guns blazing right from the outset. Micheal Pepper went right on the charge and played some exquisite shots to give the Knights an excellent start. Both the openers cruised towards the target at a very high tempo and along with some unique shots. Dre-Russ put the finishing touches to a nearly-perfect run chase and smashed a six to finish the game as the Knights clinched a comfortable victory by 6 wickets and defeated the defending champions in a commanding fashion. ADKR will now be looking to take this winning momentum forward in their upcoming games.
