The Knights clashed against the Warriors in their final home game of the season. Coming for 3 back-to-back wins, ADKR were high on confidence and aimed to clinch their 6th win of the season by doing the double over SW. The fans were pumped up and ready to cheer their favourite knights as ADKR looked to put on a solid performance.
Skipper Sunny returned to the side after his injury as the Knights were put into bat first on a pitch which looked to have assistance for the bowlers. ADKR were off to a cautious start as they batters found it difficult to find their rhythm on a tough pitch. Joe Clarke lost his wicket early, however Sharafu & Pepper showed resilience as they battled against the odds. The innings looked on route to recovery but ADKR lost a couple of wickets yet again and the momentum fell off. The Knights fought hard till the end to find themselves reaching a target of 94 to defend.
The ADKR bowlers aimed to provide an attacking start, similar to previous games and looked to pick-up quick wickets. The focus was on bowling relentless lines & lengths, not allowing the opposition batters to settle. Little picked up the first wicket as the Knights looked to claw back into the game by making the runs hard to come by for the SW batters. Imad Wasim continued his amazing form with the ball as he picked up 2 quick wickets and brought the Knights back in the game. The bowlers fought hard right till the end, however Sharjah were successful to chase down the total. The Knights will pick out the positives and look to quickly recover from this game and make a solid comeback in their next game.
