ADKR seal an Exceptional Victory after a Complete All-round Performance | ADKR vs DC | ADKR 2024

The Knights clashed against the Dubai Capitals in their home at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. After a comfortable victory in their previous game, the Knights were pumped and ready to get another victory in their bag. ADKR also had a score to settle from the last game where they came up just short. The fans were eager to support their favourite knights as ADKR looked to bag their 4th win of the season.

The Knights were put into bat first on a pitch that had some help for the bowlers. Michael Pepper continued his good form and provided a rollicking start. The ADKR batters continued to put pressure on the bowlers and keep the scoreboard ticking. The Knights faced a slight collapse in the middle, but Andre Russell arrived to the rescue as he always does. Dre-Russ smashed the ball to every part of the ground and forged an important partnership with Willey. The six-hitting monster in Andre was unleashed as he took his countryman Holder for 31-run over, which proved to be the costliest over of the season. David Willey put everyone on notice and displayed hitting skills. Both Russell and Willey steered the Knights to a strong total of 183.

The Knights bowlers came out with an attacking mindset and bowled tight lines. Willey yet again provided the first breakthrough as the Knights kept on putting pressure on the opposition. Little & Willey formed an excellent opening combination as they bowled accurate lines, allowing the batters no respite. ADKR kept on picking wickets as they reduced DC to 57 for 5 in the 9th over of the run-chase. The ADKR  spin-twins Narine and Wasim ran through the DC batting order as both picked up 2 wickets each. The Knights successfully defended the target and  went to clinch a convincing 29-run victory. The Knights grabbed their 4th win of the season and jumped up on the 2nd spot on the points table. As they move an inch closer towards playoff qualification, The Knights will be looking to continue their winning momentum and perform as a team.
